This is a gift to my two sisters, for finding me after all these years. And for all the encouragement they have both given me recently.
Thank you, Peggy and Lona.......

~~~~~~~~~~~~
All these years apart,
you’ve always been part of my heart...
So many times I’ve wondered how you are...
We never got to know each other,
all those years ago...
The distance kept between us was so far...
We chose our different paths,
and learned to wear our different masks...
But Lady Fate had some surprise in store...
One day I clicked the Net, and that’s a day
I won’t forget...your mail was there,
and opened up the door...
I never thought I’d get to know you, sisters...
Our past was like a feather in the wind...
But when the wind died down,
and I finally turned around...
There you were...
My sisters, and my friends…
So, now we’re catching up on thirty years of history...
And laughing as we share the worlds we’ve known...
I’m so glad to see that I’m like you,
and you’re like me...
And we won’t ever need to feel alone...
Now I have a chance to know you, sisters...
Our past is just a feather in the wind...
We can share our lives...
We’ve been daughters, mothers, wives...
And now we’re friends and sisters,
once again...
Live...Love...Be grateful for both!!
Sunny - may you find happiness with your sisters once again. I know that you will, and wish you the best, as always.
Oh, SunnyOne~
You could not have known how this would reach out
and touch me on this night ...
and yet .... perhaps you did.
My younger sister, Shari, died a little over a year ago ...
and today is her birthday.
I'd give my life to have her back.
I am sooooo happy for you and Lona and Peggy !
There is something so special about sistership ...
cherish each and every moment of rediscovering each other.
*Hugs* to each of you.
Love ya' ~
Hi Bill,
and thank you so much! It was just so unusual to have all the walls torn down by a click of the mouse. Now I know I'm hooked on all the technology.......it's capable of fantastic things!!!!
Hi Marge...
Oh, I am so very sorry about your sister. I am glad that this poem about finding mine reached you.......sometimes it is amazing to me how things work like they do. I hope this gave you the comfort I know that you need, on Shari's birthday. Please accept my friendship and a shoulder should you ever need one. Thank you, my dear friend.
do I believe we'd be better off apart?
can I see my world without you in it?
baby, not for a single minute...
It is a rather incredible story, but a true one, and I am most grateful that the Internet and Fate worked in our favor!!!
Sunnyone, I'm so happy that you're a family again. God bless all of you, beautifully written!
A quarter of a century must pass, for the writer to understand what and why he writes.
The internet has recently helped unite one of my cousins with brothers and sisters he'd never had the chance to know... They are still in the early stages of discovery, but your poem gives hope of the joy they might find in one another. *S* This is beautiful... congratulations to you all!
