What would it take For me to say, 'I love you And I will accept you as is.' How difficult would it be To honor the woman you are, The child seldom recognized. Is it possible to forgive you For being nothing more than human, Regardless of what other's think. Must you be perfect all the time, Or can I allow you to make mistakes Knowing you are lovable anyway. Can I stop making you feel guilty For things you had no control of As an innocent, unknowing girl. How will I love you today, Give you verbal hugs And unconditional acceptance. When will I reach deep inside To embrace the grown woman I have become in spite of myself. Every saint has a past and every sinner has a future. ~Oscar Wilde~ |

Right on as usual Kate, you speak to so many that wonder some mornings, "who the heck am I anyway", and we all experience it but are not as capable as putting it into words as you do, fantastic work as usual. Pssst, you can use graphics here! x o ~*~A poet is someone who reads more than they write ~*~ |
