What’s this I see, falling down from the grey-black sky? It’s coating everything it touches with a blanket of icy dandruff, and freezing in place... I thought it was gone... The rain of last week rinsed the frozen lather from the head of Mother Earth, exposing last fall’s dead follicles, just waiting to grow new blades... And now, just when humans were properly fooled into thinking Spring, the flakey white stuff pours without warning... If you listen closely, you can hear the muffled laughter of Mother Nature, herself... She laughs at having such power... At causing such disappointment... And at being able to play practical jokes like this, and we can’t stop her! Not yet, we can’t...not yet! She always holds the winning hand... This downpour is her best effort, all pristine, and lacing the trees as I watch... It is so beautiful and glorious in it’s artistic expression... She is painting in simplistic, virginal white, on her living canvas, that will soon turn to brilliant hues of floral rainbow colors... This flakey white stuff is her primer... Sent to spark our readiness and hunger for Spring! Live...Love...Be grateful for both!! |

I still hate the snow! But you wrote a nice, image filled portrayal here. Snow-YUCK. S |

I notice you're from Alaska. What did you expect? Don't mess with Mother Nature. Melton |

What a grand analogy...a late winter snow...the primer before the colors of spring. Oooooooh I like this one. Though disappointment began this piece, pristine white won you over and delivered you a blessing as you await the season's new life ahead. |

Sunny - if the precious white stuff stays up there, then will I like it. Other wise, when it comes down, BC will run the other way. BC |
