Composed are thoughts into the calm pervasive glow of the serene Awash in still deep flow within to drift in purity of scenes That come un-bidden into sight as weight no longer binds the mass To float the star-lit fields of night as from this height beneath does pass The textured surface of a world drawn into focus from above Whose peaks and valleys correspond to emptiness and times of love And see there spead before your eyes the map of those important things With clarity of vision lent that only such detachment brings Beyond the veil which shrouds this view and parts begrudgingly at first For often we may be misled by that which false may quench our thirst Lies cannot here be told nor heard for they've no place to grab foothold Now left behind no longer grasped for life that's over-valued gold To nourish but an empty shell and one that I have known too well [This message has been edited by Dr.Moose1 (edited 03-06-2001).] |

We can always see things more clearly, see things as they really are in those reflective moments, can't we? Very well expressed, Dr.Moose! |

What an astute diagnosis. Made my spirit soar with this piece...loved the free floating detachment of self observation...(just don't make me do that) I enjoyed this a great deal. Library. |

Way deep Doc! Had to dawn the mental scuba gear for this one. Like the thoughts and the style... and that last line... a perfect wrap up. I bow to you and yours... and now it's back to the surface you go. |

Doc, I would love to hear this piece read aloud. You have an uncanny ability to compose with the sort of rhythm, diction and imagery that stirs this reader. Thank you for another delight. My thanks to all who replied . This is my second attempt at a piece in iambic octometer, which seemed fit nicely with what I was trying to say . |
