Before Impending Storm Luna hangs mid heaven Before the setting of the sun Her light piercing through Cloud ridden skies Wearing ring of storms Engagement The wind hails news of Approaching storms fierce wake Air becoming imbued in moister Once serene medium Now heavily darken skies Give way to Nature’s wrath A sense of urgency prevails Among Gods creatures as well They’re natural instinct For preservation of life becomes Dominating sending out Shock waves of regimental order And the seeking of security Man too finds similar unrest Mind travels over his domain Having forethought Perceiving as to weather he shall Come out unscathed Accounting for all in his abode Not taking lightly Mother Natures forces There’s no escaping her temperaments All must yield to her throngs A show she shall put forth Weather the audience approves Or not! Before this impending storm All must succumb By, Cerenity "God doesn't have to be reminded that we exist. We have to be reminded that He exist!" Great one Cerenity. I couldn't help but think of earthquakes too, especially in the part about the even when the audience doesn't like the show. This is a vivid and powerful piece. |

This is terrific...your love and observance of nature and her cycles is quite evident here, my serene sis! I loved the image of the moon at sunset! Just terrific. |

Wouldn't it be great if we like animals flee the storms in our lives. Nice work! A quarter of a century must pass, for the writer to understand what and why he writes. |

I've managed to make it through a couple of tornadoes without much damage ( thank god ) But it's interesting to be there watching nature preparing as it's about to happen ... nicely done ... |

What a wonderful description of that feeling that permeates the air before a storm.... and you're right all will have to succumb before the weathered attack! I love this mood! |

I really loved the way this flowed...starting off peaceful, then building up to the storm. I found the 4th stanza particularly interesting in that the storm you describe could also be a storm within Man...an unrest of the soul, as it were.... ...seeking security, but nevertheless an unwilling particpant in Mother Nature's ways. Thanks for the enjoyable read! Jellybean King |
