A headache needs aspirin, Ibuprofen
or Tylenol and there are numerous remedies
for every kind of tummy ache
you might happen to come up with.
Bengay is for sore muscles and there are
inhalers so you can breathe and
allergy this kind and allergy that kind
as if one brand is better than another.
And oh forbid you get a cold
it takes an hour or so to pick from
the mile long isle of stuffy head fever
so you can feel better in the morning
pills, liquids, teas and syrups
take your choice but
every single one of them is yuck.
And you don't want to be sick
so you opt for healthy instead…
have you ever actually tasted
shudder...vitamins?
And despite test after test
this pain I have needs a pill
not yet identified
why couldn't I be afflicted by love
where the cure is kisses and hugs?

But yanno with our luck, we'd get the affliction and be unable to find the cure. *G* This is great, jb... it tumbles from line to line in a delightful fashion of frustration. *S* Well done!
