Beneath Venus And Dreaming By: Noah Eaton 3/4/01 Under the evening skies, I daydream on and on about my soulmate They say men are from mars and women are from Venus, and I wonder how hearts coadunate Even so, astrology isn’t everything, so I just lay back and meditate I look up at the brightest star in the sky, and I begin to muse of my one true love I drift away into fantasy, reaching to infinity and beyond high up above Free like a condor, I can go anywhere, no place is too far, no gravity is too tough I land gently in a paradise world far from Earth all so divine Where the cool jazz palmettos swing in beat with the reggae sun and the starlight I hunker on my desires as I listen to the violin and congo drums play away for the sunrise I feel the tide kissing my eyes, blinking, couldn’t tell if this was a dream A seductive dreamy tune begins to play, as a monsoon drifts in from across the sea Bushy hairs of the palms rattle in the wind, and a tanager cries out in melody The sea awakens glistening in sapphire color, dolphins leaping out everywhere playing with a flock of scarlet macaws The monsoon passes me by, and I look out upon the skyline to see a light shining through the clouds without a pause Then I smile as I see an angel fall from the clouds, floating toward me with some certain cause Smiling she floats to me and holds me, muffling with sighs as she declares her affection I look at her bright face, and her brown hair waving in the wind Before me my goddess stands, wearing a chartreuse silk dress and flowers in her hair, and softly I kiss her lips My sweetheart stands before me, smiling, her eyes resembling the stars, her dress the light of the sun Excited in the gift I offered her, she shows me her love for it as she holds me and kisses me in a quick, romantic sudden Now knowing we were true lovers, as our lips lock in passions glue, holding me, laying me down to the sand, as I stare into her eyes that endlessly glisten Feeling the heat of the rising sun towering over us, I hold her, kissing her, fingers touching and caressing her soft silky backside Every time our lips separate for the ocean air, they enchantingly attach again in passions flame, pulling us deeper to each other under the mango dawn skies I roll with my love in my arms, her heart beating with mine, right where the tide rolled in, the water kissing eternal loves prize The chill of the water awakens me from my muse, as I stare up and look at that star, shimmering like such that dream But I sit with a smile as I continue to strive for loves teachings Awaiting the love within the vastness of space as I lie on the lawn…beneath Venus and dreaming |
