standing on a shadow's lace

Changing

sunlight spashes through dirty pane
oh, how I wish it would rain
to wash down this heavy heart
to loosen things, make them depart
time builds up layers and layers
choosing life as a watcher or a player
changing now, hard risk to take
standing firm in choices i make
praying constant to get me through
finding change where you, is no longer you
learning new secrets in the art of care
funny, how most have always been there
yes its true now--I stand alone
but in feelings and freedom I now own
each night I still lay down at the end of the day
and go on with life, as I go on my way

And since I say Time is, I could hardly disagree. Good luck on changes.
