if ever you and i were to meet
just a chance encounter
and our eyes touched in that one infinite moment
i know never again would i be the same

my heart soars at the mention of your name
yet no this isn't love
a special friendship indeed though
one that is special and true

i think God brought us together for a purpose
to help and heal one another
there is so much we could say
but sometimes words aren't needed

just know in my heart
always resides a place for you
a safe harbor
to shelter you from this crazy world

should you ever need someone
know you can turn to me
for i love you
but no, i'm not "in love" with you

Amy you're right....we are all brought together for a purpose....and our friends are so special...wonderful piece. Whoever it's for will love it.

This is perfect Amy, I love this part....the poem is fantastic, but this part, is best.

Great poem as usual. Like the others said all the parts are great and what is more special then a friendship that is "true-blue". Nothing I know of. I'm glad this person brings a smile to your face, I didn't like seeing you so upset over your last love whom you were "inlove" with. Take care.
