“YOUR NAME IS WILLOW” by Bill Charles ~~~~ The forest path was overgrown, and I wandered endlessly, until a clearing I did come, from where I know not, actually… You were standing there, in front of a delightful cottage, and when I walked towards you, I was captivated, by your beautiful image… I asked you for your name, and when you answered me, it was the prettiest one I thought, that there ever could be… You said your name was ‘Willow’, to me it seemed fitting, but sometimes they called you ‘Willie’, which I thought was so very charming… Someone such as you, have I but dreamed my lonely life away, rich brown hair flowing, cascading down your shoulders, in display… Soft blue eyes I could see, to mine they would only beckon, and your lips were so inviting, I felt the magic, of their addiction… In an instant I thought, I would never leave this place, as I would pledge myself to you, and give my warmest embrace… You are the one in my dreams, two hearts now, as one will flow, I am very content, to have toiled down that path, for I met that special someone, whose name is ‘Willow’… ~~~~ |

What beautiful peaceful images you've painted here. You've captured a gentle grace and beauty in "Willow" and rather a "entering a new stage in life" with the entire poem. I wondered briefly was it real or a dream and then I wondered if that mattered. I decided it didn't. More important I think is the emotions it leaves the reader with. Nice one, Bill!
