Jobless in Cucamonga

Out of work and close to broke,
oh what am I to do?
If no one wants to hire me,
then I am really screwed.
Rent must be paid by Monday.
All of my bills, past due.
Out of work and close to broke,
oh what am I to do?

Out of work and close to broke,
oh how I need a break.
From resumes and interviews
And "Sorry" cold handshakes.
Maybe something next week,
I hope so for my sake.
Out of work and close to broke,
Oh how I need a break.

Out of work and close to broke,
there's someone at the door
I look outside my window
and he looks mighty sore. (and big too)
Another bill collector?
Lord, what has he in store?
Out of work and close to broke,
(oh why was I born poor?)

Ah the ongoing search for a job, know the feeling.

The world doesn't stop for you, but you can stop for the world.

I, on the other hand...was born wealthy. Became poor and unemployed all on my own. I LOVED this. Hey, I'll take your calls if you'll take mine!

...and wishing you were here....

I mean, isn't that the end to the song?
