Echo From The Past. You have left my sight, but, Your memory lingers on. Loved face that’s still so clear Even after you’re gone. Feint whispers in the dark A voice, a memory, An echo from the past That haunts me, teasingly. I miss your warm embrace, Your wisdom and your love But in the greater plan You were needed above. 27/2/2001 Dedicated to my Dad, whom I still miss and think of at the oddest times. I wish you every happiness and may you always have the best of the good things in life. a brand |

Dee, This is a lovely and touching poem. As you aready know, my father is also gone, so I can relate very well to this poem. If you don't mind, I thought I might show you a better way of formatting this poem to make if more effective. A peaceful day to you, my friend. Love, Michael Echo From The Past. You have left my sight, but, your memory lingers on. Loved face that’s still so clear Even after you’re gone. Feint whispers in the dark A voice, a memory, an echo from the past that haunts me, teasingly. I miss your warm embrace, your wisdom and your love. But in the greater plan You were needed above. Michael, thanks for the tip. I appreciate your advice. Sharon, it's still odd sometimes I'll say I have to ask Dad about that, and then I realise what I have just said. Thanks Dee I wish you every happiness and may you always have the best of the good things in life. a brand |

This one reaches out to me, in reading I once again feel all that emotion so familiar to me. Excellent work me thinks! "I've done all the dumb things"....Paul Kelly |

These thoughts of yours are penned with a tenderness that comes from truely feeling the emotions in them and not fearing the release of them into the open world. Your presentation in this piece is only shadowed by the pure devotion in the words and even then the poetic rating would be hugging that "9 to 10" scoring. Lovely read. |
