The Magnitude of Her Power

As trees sway laboriously heavily laden
In storms wake,
Ornamental flora collapse drenched
With quagmire,
Well-arranged nosegays wade petals high
In sine pool rings
Flights of foul grounded unwillingly
Hiding in safety

Transformation taking place as Nature
Unleashes turbulent unrest
Testimonial To the powers she possess
Wiping mans footprints
From upon her surface, taking his mark
Threshing it about
Leaving only that which should be displayed
Nature’s glory untouched

Vile not her beauty She “speaks” we tremble,
Yet lovingly
She treasures all upon her surface
My spirit heeds her repose
Taking note
Lessons learnt from tranquillity’s silent,
Splendid aftermath waits
If eye’s open to the message given

The magnitude goes both directions
In Natures realm,
Its man, who doesn’t listen, eyes closed
He takes
Until his greediness tilts the scales
Bypassing Natures warnings,
Simply playing
A game he shall not win
A game of take until there is no more
To “take”
But Nature is as persistent as man is

Hi

Serenity and Poeminister

Thank you both so much for liking my work, Mother Nature has been having a bit of a stay here and its been pretty much nonstop rain and my yard looks like it was hit with an ugly stick lots of them,

Love, Cerenity

I would say that Mother Nature always wins out. . . but do we really mind???

Wonderful Cerenity. . .

Hi Poeminister,
Thank you so much, sometimes things just fly so fast here, yet it took along time to write it,

Hi Sven,
Yes I am so glad she wins most of the time, and thank you for stopping by,

Love, Cerenity
