With apologies to Sven and Kethry whose wonderful pieces I am not belittling, but I just couldn't resist having a poorly aimed shot...jimmy Have to chuckle as we watch those crazy kids, Sister Moon and Brother Sun in their hide and seek childhood games. They stretch and pull the Earth, cause the oceans to rise and fall, and once in awhile Brother Sun gets mad blasting the earth with his ionizing rays, messing up everything and causing flashing, rippling lights in the nightime sky, disruptive child that he is; and Sister Moon just laughs at him, while she hides in the shadow of Earth glowing and beaming in delight. Once in awhile we admonish them, tell them to be polite, so they get together now and then, for all the Earth to see; Sister Moon and Brother Sun together in the light of day holding hands in the sky again, in a sister and brother way. w. james beard, jr. © January 2001 |

Jimmy, Yes mum and Dad, I'll behave now. *Sister moon stands smiling with fingers crossed behind her back.* Don't you just hate it when that brother of mine has a tantrum, still I've been known to raise the tide with a few of my tears.*laughs* write on Kethry Those of us who refuse to risk and grow get swallowed up by life. Thanks all for reading in the spirit it was meant, and especially Kethry...F U N! I don't know you guys the way you seem to know one another so sometimes I'm a little leary about what I do or may say. But it's never meant to offend...ever. jwesley [This message has been edited by jwesley (edited 01-14-2001).] |

What a wonderful verse. This was great my friend. I got visions of the eclipse on Christmas day when reading the end of this one. Superb penning. |
