The dialog of two lovers: Michael and Melisande Meli. Hope once existed, Cinderella man, that our union was inevitable. Joyous revelation has deserted me. Mich. Hope now exists Romeo girl, to wash in this Ocean Eros was ordained before our birth. Meli. Dreams you brought me, Morpheus of almond blossoms, while charged cliches hung in the electric air between us. Mich. Nightmares enveloped me, Circe; this state of bland repose, ever searching, never finding inexorable us. Meli. Fantasies embolden us, my Lancelot; your brilliant armor mingles with my femininity, our complimentary contrast of strengths. Mich. Offing marks us, my Leander. Meet on the shore of Hellespont the Hero of your wantings. Meli. Reality pains, my Socrates; to taste the poison of tainted distance, the bitter draught we have drunk. Mich. Reality consoles, my Ophiolite. I know the incessant thirst of quixotic dreams, now quelled by palpable you. |

ARRRGGHH!! I can't seem to get the symmetry here that I want. I had spaced the lines out in the center with the names only on the left, but when I post, it pulls it all back. Any suggestions on how to space without using elipses or dashes? Michael~ |

Jazzmole, interesting poem. Did you tab across in the original and if so did that help with the cut and paste. Sorry that's the only suggestion I have. write on Kethry Those of us who refuse to risk and grow get swallowed up by life. Patty Hansen. |
