February Dawn
Virginia Salter

The morning’s come
in dewed-up dawn
and something fell from the sky

twas not the moon
twas not the stars
yet fell to earth a-fly

tiny pellets
like Styrofoam seeds
lie about the ground

tiny and white
like beads for a sprite
in spherical shape abound

the glorious sun
through the sky has spun
a reason for birds to sing

their lilting play
burns winter’s fray
as to the eaves they cling

buds on the trees
in gentle breeze
secretly weave new filament

stretch on each arm
ring spring’s alarm
to reach the firmament

bird song’s arise
lilts through the skies
giving Lord high praise

as for me, so too,
tis what I must do
yes, I must likewise raise

VAS,

Wonderfully detailed in prose made rhyme
and I too need to join nature in her praise...

Thank you, Bob <><

I love it. Though February is sometimes quite dreary, spring is always there at the end of it, just as God is always there through our hardest times. Well done Virginia!

This is soooooo beautiful!
It MUST go to my library.
I will print this for my morning read. It's worth reading many times over.
Hugs,
Deb

Thanks, everyone, so very much. I'm so happy you read and enjoyed and took the time to let me know.Poems like these bless me so much as I don't feel I write them, it's more like they write me and therefore I really want to share them. You have let me know they made it beyond my 'pen.'
