That moonlit flight the night we met there were stars all around in the air. They shone like diamonds through the mist and a moon harp played on your golden hair. There was glowing charms over silver arms and I knew when you started to stare you were losing your heart to me and a moon harp played on your golden hair The night light fingers played up and down and your lovely eyes were soft and round and my heart danced like a child at a fair love was born above the ground love was in the air. A spell was the mood like a champagne tune it was the start of a long love affair and when we kissed on that night a moon harp played on your golden hair. In the heavens above wrapped up in your love there was never a dream to compare. That moonlit night that Baltic flight when a moon harp played on your golden hair. Note: this is a repost. Now I KNOW why they rest the harp on their shoulder when they play it. Beautiful write my friend and very very cool in it's massaging of the tender side of the soul. Loved the flow in this one and I bet you could turn this one into a song with ease. I would love to hear it on a 12 string. [This message has been edited by Mark Bohannan (edited 02-18-2001).] |

Thanks Mark that's how most of my poems start out and this one is no different...it is meant to be viewed as old style big band lyrics ....with a Sinatra type singer...that may complete the picture for some...thanks again and I'm sure you could really do a number on it with a twelve string......take care. Thank you Viginia I appreciate the comments....it's nothing I devised it's very lyrical in nature and structured that way....take care! Im with Mark... front row center...holding up a lighter spark.... waiting for you to play this one way cool E-babes and YOU KNEW this was coming ... right? well I just had to Moondance Van Morrison Well, it's a marvelous night for a Moondance With the stars up above in your eyes A fantabulous night to make romance 'Neath the cover of October skies And all the leaves on the trees are falling To the sound of the breezes that blow And I'm trying to please to the calling Of your heart-strings that play soft and low And all the night's magic seems to whisper and hush And all the soft moonlight seems to shine in your blush Chorus: Can I just have one a' more Moondance with you, my love Can I just make some more romance with a-you, my love Well, I wanna make love to you tonight I can't wait 'til the morning has come And I know that the time is just right And straight into my arms you will run And when you come my heart will be waiting To make sure that you're never alone There and then all my dreams will come true, dear There and then I will make you my own And every time I touch you, you just tremble inside And I know how much you want me that you can't hide One more Moondance with you in the moonlight On a magic night La, la, la, la in the moonlight On a magic night Can't I just have one more dance with you my love As sure as God made wine you can't wrap your arms around a memory In the dark for me youre the candle flame that flickers to life ~Mission UK~ |

ETHome~ *giggling* ... was going to say, "Quit your harping !" But got caught up in the beauty of this piece. Very nicely strummed, my friend. ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ [email protected] |

PT dear heart, utterly wonderful, I can hear this wonderful tune. You know how I adore a melody I was going to say you dancing because I'm asking, but I just know I'll have to join the queue love. Even if I offer you one of the new women docs? (Yes just for you they came in specially two weeks ago!) We've got four, two of them won't do, they are a little young but there's an anaesthetist and a orthopedist, what more can I say. Both champing at the bit love, shall I have them sent direct? And don't say I don't try Love this one dear heart utterly wonderful Take care as always Mushy Take back the hope you gave,- I claim Only a memory of the same Robert Browning |

This flight of fancy is champagne instead of the whiskey and smoke of your blues... but delights the senses with just as much beauty. *S* Now my singing Moondance after JM's post has no beauty whatsoever and probably assails the senses of everyone around me... but that's their problem. *G* Well done! |
