I wanted to tell you I love you but anger got in the way so I just yelled instead I wanted to tell you you broke my heart but tears got in the way so I just smiled instead I wanted to tell you I miss you but the timing was off so I just stayed quiet I wanted you to tell you what I couldn't say but you weren't listening and I was struck dumb I was going to say how lucky we once were but you'd already gone so I can't but maybe I did... Don't ask me where I'm going, just listen when I'm gone and far away you'll hear me singing softly to the dawn. |

Not very many words, but you put them all in the right places. Feelings are hard to write about, but you sure did well. Hugs, ME |

Regrets of words not spoken whirling again round somehow doubt the silence natural to second sight reach yet could that redone a difference made no matter the honor in deliniated elegance would it have changed all meanings of tomorrow fall back not on answers but revolve round all the new questions "Time is merely change. It neither enslaves nor determines us. It is instead our opportunity for self-definition" [This message has been edited by ATelamon (edited 02-16-2001).] |

Those missed opportunities sure do haunt us, don't they? *S* But yes... you said it all, dear lady, and said it very well. *S* The trouble is, we can never make anyone listen. *S* And as painful as those steps of resignation and acceptance are, they show a strength that has me waiting for the day you run up and down rainbows again. *S* Great poem, Little Chick... you've been busy while you lurked. *S* |
