Tonight I feel so alone
and so very afraid,
for he is not yet better
no, they have not come to his aid.

I lie here watching and waiting
as he is now finally resting
but the doctors do not yet know
yes, they still are just guessing.

Each day now I see him suffer
each day there is no cure
each day I pray the same prayer
"Lord help us a little bit more"
