A Question Of Timing Why do I fall for loves’ beauty? With those that don’t love me Is it my timing that’s at fault? Some strange illness I’ve caught It happen every time you see I don’t know it’s a real mystery I get gifts and countless posies From men who send me roses They send them to me constantly But their flowers don’t thrill me Yet a word or a look from the one And then it’s my time in the sun What do I seek and is it here? I know it’s not found in a tear Is it my sense of time that’s out? If I’ve lost it, is it still here about? I’m here but in the wrong place It’s not here that I’ll find my race So why am I still searching, why? I must know for what I often sigh Am I not in step with my time? If I adjusted would things be fine Would I really find my Mr. Right? Or has he already taken his flight? Do I have to find my own time? Or will the moment be my sign? Do I have to seek my own destiny? Or will my fate be seeking out me? Is it just a question of timing, is it? If so when do I expect a timed visit? Marsha Take back the hope you gave,- I claim Only a memory of the same Robert Browning |
