A Certain Perfect Disarray |

Apple-mint sprigs, tiny leaves unfold to sun in ancient prayer-- (supplication...) Ever strives to meet perfection... (daily dedication...) Lemon tree in bloom this year. How perfectly ironic. Blossoms fall--lemon drops-- Heady scent--seductive tonic-- a certain perfect disarray... think i'll let it stay that way... (Some things should be just what they are.) Broad-leaf fern, pine-apple sage, rose-in-bud, "Society's Page," (she used to be all the rage.) spears of iris by the pond and just the slightest curve of palm behind the waterfall-- White ginger standing tall... and pots of basil hunger for planting bringing out an ache in me-- ever wistful--ever wanting-- a shovel full of upturned earth droplets of rain, quenching thirst. "Gentle hands are needed here," said the breeze into my ear. "Ssshh..." It whispered me aware. *repost due to Spring--and would also appreciate any suggestions regarding punctuation--Kamla??? anyone?* |

This is very lovely, leaving whispered promises of things to come, even when other things have gone. |

Excellent visuals here. Oh for a garden surrounding in Spring. My compliments. AT "Time is merely change. It neither enslaves nor determines us. It is instead our opportunity for self-definition" |

I wish I could write like you. You seem so free and unrestrained. My work pales by comparison. Good lines and imagery and to me as important, presentation. J |

Oh Celeste I can't say too much Doreen and Janet have said it all but I can say you are coming up special and I think maybe loving what you do now more than ever... keep up the good work my dear Acadian poet!! The poet is like a cocoon; in him the caterpillar of the past finds rest, and from him the butterfly of the future emerges. |
