With a hot cup of coffee On a cold winter's day She started her morning In the usual way Nothing different Everything the same Until quietly she heard him Whisper her name It's not real……… A trick from my mind He's gone now And left me behind On with her day She had work to do She didn't have any more time To think of you Pushing memories away Choking her heart Now isn't the time She can fall apart Please…….make them wait Until the end of the day Then I promise You can have your way………………… Night is gently falling It's time for bed Emotions race frantically From heart to head Memories call pleadingly Bringing his face to her mind So gentle…………so loving And always so kind She has no choice and let's his memories have their way remembering her love this Valentine's Day 2-14-01 8:10 pm ~SEA~ |
