Desire By WhiteKnight The smile upon your face, The adoration in your eyes, The sound of your laughter, Brings joy to my heart. Understanding to the depths of my soul, That you believe in me, That I believe in you, That we share our love unconditionally, And we always will. Though many darkness’s light upon the world, The light of our love will cast them all away, As mere shadows upon a sunny day. Secure in the knowledge that we are one, And will be till the day of our setting sun, We pledge to spend our lives, Basking in the glory of our love. Many years have past, You’ve realized I am only human, Not some perfect creature of fantasy. You no longer believe in me, I no longer see the love in your eyes. Though under no delusions of your perfection, I still desire the illusions of our love. I still need to know that someone believes in me, Even when I don’t. I still need you to hold me and kiss me, I need you to show me that you love me, Even when I hate myself. I need you to remind me that things will be all right, That we will make it through the night, That you need me as much as I need you, Because our souls are one. These words cannot begin to express, The depths of my love for you. I will always love you, Till the setting of my sun. |

WhiteKnight~ 'I still need to know that someone believes in me, Even when I don’t.' The greatest gift is found in finding someone that believes in us ... it's also a gift that we must give to another. This is a lovely outpouring of longing. ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ [email protected] |

And in this laying forth of such promises...one should always know the gift given, and the gifts received... well done! |
