Limericks There once was a woman named Erin, with beautiful eyes meant to stare in. I knew from the start, That she'd stolen my heart. Cause the spot where it was now is barren! But I fixed that big hole in my breast, So your worries should now lay at rest. But I filled it with gum, And each time that I hum, A big bubble I blow with my chest! Now speaking about my sweet honey, She loves me, but finds it quite funny. She thinks I'm obsessed, With those things on her chest. But I'm really just after her money! Well I'm limericked out for today. But I'll visit again if I may. With a verse and a smile, In this silliest style. And to chase all those blue birds away. |

I could not resist the title Limericks, and I certainly was not disappointed. These are terrific. Let's see more! To love another person is to see the face of God. - Les Miserables Marilyn [This message has been edited by kcsgrandma (edited 02-10-2001).] |

I enjoy limericks so much and these are wonderfully done. I had one person say it one of the easiest forms...I beg to differ. I have a horrid time with them, I do!!! In fact I was just moments ago trying to write one about cupid and have just about talked myself out of it after only getting the first and almost the 2nd line. Just know how to get to the punch when there's no party. |
