This will be my last post until
after my surgery February
14th. 3:30 I wish you
all my best. I’m
just under
to much
pressure
and there’s
so much left to do
the weight and pain has
become more than I wish to tell.

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

state of affairs

in my rhymes and each and
every time I've read or hung on lines
with you was it just my imagination or am
I still an empty one who lingers onward once
or twice in loneliness I watched my words go
by where I’d been all too many times &
miles beyond too where you might
say some luck was in a way
a little over due after all
I hadn’t any alibis
and couldn’t
see any
Seattle
sky’s

not long ago as I remember
once upon a dark & windy night
my love glowed in dying embers
along shores of memories flight I
just kept somehow moving on
ward inward I gave up ever
trying to remember all

I’d left undone
it was a
sorry
state

of affairs
and no one
really cared or
remembers

anyway
and I
couldn’t
blame ‘em

they were just so darn
busy... I think it was December

and it didn’t even snow
.

Writing isn't just something I do, it's something I am.
To write of feelings that touch all hearts in some manner is my delight.

I agree with Paula on the last lines.  I was so surprised as the poem began to really open up.  I liked it alot.

What a day to have surgery, Valentine's Day.  May your heart be filled with love before, during and after.  The best to you and prayers, too, for you.

Sad, sad, honey you put every kind of emotion into words so well!

I especially love the ending, "... I think it was December and it didn’t even snow" - beautiful way to describe ...
it will be okay, sweetheart, I just know it!  I'll be right there, praying.  You're in God's hands, and He holds you gently.

Paula Finn,
Thank you for your insight

Miss deVine,
Are you still in that state of confusion..? LOL. Anyway it might be Rosemary who lets you all know... they said I was going to be out of it for awhile... Can somebody tell me what that means..?

You dear man. You and Rosemary have always been kind in responding to my poetry and keeping me in your thoughts when I was down.  I'll be thinking of you and sending you some prayers.  Hurry back to us! You two have always been an inspiration to me.
