‘Round the Corner Virginia Salter Winter stems stand haphazardly to and fro no longer hidden by the clean, white field of snow reminding of deeds left long undone waiting loudly in the grayed-down winter sun. Loudly cuz they tell the world of me who rests too oft in her reverie for time to come when in one fell swoop to sow the seeds and scoop the goop. Yes, spring is ‘round the corner, did you see? Sky filled with honking vees, in number, three! They were heading north, giving a wild goose call “Vernal equinox is coming, one and all.” © February 3, 2000 |

This is great, but I don't want spring to come too soon because then I have to go back to MICHIGAN. I like it down here best. Still like your style. ME |

Delightful, Virginia! But I admit that I also tend to rest in reverie too long - - sure can't wait for those geese to return to our northern clime.... then we'll send them back down your way, come fall *g*. Lary |

Wow! It's kinda neat seeing the corners of North America and Hawaii are enjoying this spring piece. Glad you all liked it. ME, tell me, how are you so fortunate to have two homes? My daughter was asking me if I'd ever thought of taking a cruise. The day she did, it was very cold and I was tired from working, so I said, "I'm ready!!! I'm there!" So, so ready to head for a warmer climb and get out from under the gray skies we'd been experiencing far too long. That is apparently the blessing you get to have each year. |
