Silent too long, my heart has turned to stone, stark empty staring into the past when hope sprang from tears like weeds, and I minded not the gardening nor the rain, each day was not the same solicitous pain. Calendar pages now taunt the wearing thin of the year, but what cares a statue of night and of cold, and sun that warms not to the bone? The seasons need no tending they ask naught from a companion with a heart of stone. Why craves then a statue, to cast off clumsy feet and fly? Isn't it enough that birds are able to share the sky? Soaring, life filling wings outstretched, they uncurtain my smile coaxing the corners up willing the soft pulse of life to course through my veins Lastly, laughter bubbles free from imprisoned walls, i can wiggle my toes, my arms... stretch wide. |

jellybeans - a true gem! Your words beg to be hugged....your pictures exquisite. The healing is underway.... Love it immensely! Lary |
