A sordid past, evolved into such a happy and fun holiday. Great poem, 'Mr. I can write in any style I please and do it excellently'!! Denise |

Wow, the voice in part II is much different than the original part, but the way you expressed it's truth is great. It was a tunultuous start, eventually becoming the most amorous holiday. My of my, what a change, so interesting! Excellent poem, my friend, thank you for sharing! May love and light always shine upon you! Love, Noah Eaton |

'Deer love, Oh my this is utterly utterly fabulous. Of course you know this is written with your usual skill, well, you might not, but I do. But it's more than that love, it is quite simply awesome. Not just the fact that it brings the whole thing alive, it does but, not just that, it's just such a wonderful piece from you. In the days before printing presses, before old Will Caxton brought books for everyone. Monks used to write manuscripts by hand, and they decorated them, as everyone knows. In the same way they used to illuminate thier works you have illuminated history. Outstanding absolutely first class and I love it. Thank you for this 'Deer love Take care love as always Mushy Take back the hope you gave,- I claim Only a memory of the same Robert Browning |

"midnight torchlight robed figures" Wow! You set the scene perfectly in this Michael. The style you chose works so well with the dark atmosphere portrayed of the rituals of long past. I love this kind of historical detail ... it's fascinating to read into it (but glad I didn't live it, LOL). Excellent piece ... a wonderful "Part II) ... off to Part III now!!! Best wishes, /Kit |

i really did like this one of the 3, especially, and since these forums move so quickly, i am giving this a little bump back up top so it can be read part 1 and part 3 were also excellent....... .... why did they make him a saint, btw? because he understood love so well? WHO made him a saint? the catholic church...? do i ask too many questions? would you like me to stop? don't answer that... it won't kick your poem back up top if you do... LOL.... *wink* (you can just email me the answers *g) [This message has been edited by doreen peri (edited 02-01-2001).] |

Balladeer, you sure wrote this in a different style and not sure I like it, but it is great! Will go now to #3 and see what you did with that history lesson! Hugs, ME |
