When My children were small they asked for money to hear stories, I told them I would tell them stories and my child replied but this is a "real" storyteller. So although I'm not a real story-teller, here is a story nevertheless.![]() The dragon and the wizard set out to tame the land the dragon's power was held within the wizard's fragile hand a life force then protected but still at its command until the dragon forced the crowd to make a mundane stand. The wizard sought adventure to escape his life so bland the chronicles I write here, are when things were so mis-planned The dragon told the wizard to have a little care "Dragon's power is strong inside your palm, and nestled there" the wizard got to thinking, about power he did not share the sliver in his hand grew hot, the dragon unaware the wizard's bold adventure, seemed pale when he'd compare the magic of the dragon, the power nestled there. The wizard studied long and hard, to claim the dragon's prime resource, enduring strength, ability and skill in every clime then failing this, the wizard stole power away, a scale a time but dragon's power works best, with morals in decline. as the wizard descended into darkness of the syphilitic mind a maiden fair came to seek the passion of wizard's grime. The dragon fell in love with the maiden in full flower, the wizard fell to disrepute through use of dragon's power, the town saw the corruption and decided in that hour that now is the time to reclaim the town for a hero all did scour the maiden saw the knight they chose, with grave expression dour and decided she would not play, but could now make all cower. She set the dragon, love besotted against the mundane town, the fiery breath could win for her, the pearled victor's crown provided dragon won the day before the sun went down. The dragon found the perfidy, the wizard's name renown was brandished forth across the town as one who would not frown if the dragon was to make an end and willing die or drown. The dragon fierce and wizard strong fought side by side to pave the way to previous harmony, an escape from the grave they made a plan to disappear and themselves timely save they would pretend to be dead, then hide within a cave the maiden fair, approved the plan and found some ways to shave the money from the treasury but first they must deceive that knave The knight errant came on the scene, of the wizard, dragon fight and sought to take the victory and claim it was his might that defeated mage and dragon, had sent them to the night howling with deep misery and taking up full flight nevermore to be seen within the town's border light in this he hoped to win the prize, and live in pure delight. The maiden fair could not believe her plan had gone so wrong the dragon and the wizard dead, the knight the victor's song she was the prize, the town decreed to the hero would belong then all her scheming, would mean naught, she knew she must be strong she ran screaming to the town, and said the knight did wrong in passion deep for victor's spoils he raped, she wept along. The town in indignation took up her cause until the knight was beaten to the ground and at last lay still then the treasury keys were given to the maid, for heroes thrill she took the coins and ran away to live under a hill there three practiced, magic the dragon's power to mill scale amulets were dispensed to every boy and girl. The town's forgot the conflict and cannot ever see the dragon and the wizard though powerful they be and the maiden fair becomes a crone, object of pity yet still she keeps her secret of a town's conquest by three when wizard, dragon and herself turned defeat to victory and she smiles as she lives dragon's eternity. suthern, thank you for the applause, I had fun writing this. PoeticEnchantress, if you like I'll tell you a bedtime story now. Once upon a time in a land far away there was a child born to walk with dragons, and when she learned to write she learned the secret language of mystery the language of dragonspeak. And in her words was power and pride...Go to sleep dear heart form the language in your dreams then write to me to tell me what you saw ![]() be well Kethry Those of us who refuse to risk and grow get swallowed up by life.
