how quickly my resolve
fled from determined will
and all my hopes and dreams dissolve
and trembling hand in reach of pill
and wake to fog and walk in fog
already blinded by my tears
a thought I'd traipse the swampy bog
and quiet voices of self jeers
oh damn me for my being weak
as the fever starts again
but as I heal? I start to feel...
and yearn the blanket of my friend.
I am damaged goods that came
with policy of no return
so here I am lost in my game
awaiting chance to take my turn.
How is it that an ice cold heart
could summon tears so hot they burn?

Much pain here Serenity.  Perhaps the catharsis of getting it out will help assuage such tender sore thoughts.

YOU, my friend, can write so damn well about such difficult subjects.... i am awed! i've been thinking lately (good sign, huh?) that the ENTIRE purpose to all of life is writing... love? to write! pain? to write! difficulties? to write! joy? to write! the more often we experience any of these, the better writers we become.... *sigh*... (well, at least there's a purpose... geez!) - anyway... this one pretty much says it all and ... oh so well..) (((hugs)))

hey! i have an idea! maybe we can start a business of some sort... you know...and hire people to take poets through ranges of emotions... LOL... so their writing gets better!! whaddya think? ... get all these poets in one place together and let 'em at each other! then see what happens.. i'd bet we could get a pretty good book out of it *s... y'think?... awww geez, i smiled!!! look at that! how'd THAT happen? *sigh*.. but i gotta have a sense of humor no matter how odd it is..

You speak these thoughts so eloquently...addition of any kind...be it drugs, alcohol...or even the need to be loved...makes us all do things we regret...hugs girl
