The moving van pulled up today and I knew this time I would leave. That orange truck unnerved me so that only now I begin to grieve. It’s been months since I left, but I guess it’s finally true. I was fine until the Uhaul came, separating my life, from you. We tried to make it work; and worked to make it right. Somewhere in the middle though, you gave up the fight. As sure as I am that this is the way my life must travel on alone, I wasn’t prepared to feel like this, my heart heavy as a stone. Moving on isn’t always easy saying good bye is hard as hell. Time may heal my heart some day but then again, who can tell. |

This is very moving...no pun intended. There was no moving van here, but this poem brought back those awful, awful feelings. I hope that time has begun to help. This sounds like a country song that could likely be a hit. |

WOW did this ever bring back memories, some of which I wished I could forget. I know the words you spoke are so true that when one gives up no matter how hard we try it will just not work. I wish you the best. Love and light, Richard |

this raised so many conflicting emotions in me...regret and anticipation...sorrow and relief....you captured a poignant moment here! (got room for one more?) |
