"This Day" Sky of blue Chase the clouds of gray Warmth of sun Make the chill go away Tears fill eyes As they stream down my face Though time has been temporarily Suspended and frozen into place Little sister in a car wreck Fear making my heart stop dead Wanting to scream like a mad woman But said a silent prayer instead Thank you dear God for keeping her safe in your care Whenever we need you the most You are always endlessly there She is safe And I breathe a sigh of relief Serves only to prove you are real Strengthening my belief Love surrounds my heart If anyone doubts Him There is no need to look around Inside of your heart is where he can be found Amy M. Lisa is ok though, thank God! This just really has shook me and my family up. And as a result this is what came out. Take care all! I'm glad that your sister is ok. Isn't it strange how panic and fear can bring out some of the best poetry. Yes, he did answer your prayer. |

Amy, this is a beautiful poem and your words say it all. Thanking Him for your sister's life is where the thanks should go. Let us not forget. So glad all is well and the family together on earth. Soft hugs for your sister, ME |
