I caught a star My first one recently After 12 years of watching, longing, praying, dreaming, and hoping on those stars I chose so carefully that seemed so far for so so long And my eyes sparkle with those few stars I've finally taken hold of captured in my heart I dance surrounded by the light of so many more swirling around me I treasure the joy the pure happiness the thankfulness My heart overflowing For I am finally me To capture and live a moment is truly living |

Thanks so much everyone! Have been gone for a bit but things are settling down now and I'm happy to being back and reading everyone's poetry again. Thank you for sharing my new happiness. To capture and live a moment is truly living |

To become...that is! The skin horse said that in becoming real one might get all their head rubbed off and it might hurt, too. But the Velveteen Rabbit wouldn't have given up being real, being loved, in order to skip the pain. wonderful piece! |
