Sing to Me Neil is on first he sings up then sings slow then deep and low love grows in his voice no choice the TV is off and I hear the words Replay is hit he says one true love can turn it all around can take you to the light today I will go shop for a red dress cut up to here… again and again he asks if he can come into my heart and I welcome him wails a forgiving plea wants to come back, to win my love, and I welcome him he includes everybody in his song and still sings to me he wants to get lost in my eyes for a lifetime, and I welcome him thinking that perhaps one of my poems would have 30 years of lasting appeal if he sang one having been lost since I was a teen but not when Neil sings he has aged most gracefully and can I help if I wonder what he sees in his mirror in the morning do I care? and I wonder are you man enough even though I think you are would you could you? play Neil for me? Karilea If I whisper, will you listen?... I would rather be silent and write, than speak loudly and be bound. KRJ |
