the Ozarks of Missouri the starry prairie lights are shining crystal bright the Chinooks are moving in tomorrow night I'll be out there though I'd finished all I could and you know my ‘ol luck ain't been as benevolent & I'd be any where from sorrow if I only away could I’d love to see my only kin & know the shape God’s given them kindly a long the lonely skyline their prairies hard to find the ones we love the time has screened but I’ve heard it sung on fields lone with thyme and found how you've got to stay there awhile but now it's snowing and those country roads are brown and icy gray and I know somewhere's my pretty girl maybe o’er yonder town but it’s Christmas again and I’ve never found her way but wondered if she ever looked for me and the dreams left behind and guessing they’re just the reasons neither can be found . Lucky~ This reads so touching. I so admire your ability to weave the pages of your journal into such lovely writings that we may share. Thank you for this beauty. ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ noles1@totcon.com |

Hi ya Sis, You have such an insight... And I see too your beginning and feeling just how to write it. You always have such kind words And I want you to know just how much I love your freedom of words... I don't bump you all the time, but I have every post you've posted here and it took a whole CD Rom. I love ya Sis and your words have surely changed from times back then... I believe you need a diploma. Should I send you one..? PS. From the background (three cheers from Rosemary) love dale . |

lucky - this cuts me to the heart. I wish I could help you find your pretty little girl - and she surely still is! (Though not so little now.) She was loving and beautiful, and sparkly, and I'm so sorry you miss her so. Some day she will find you. I know. Maybe it won't be as long as you think. Much love, Rosemary . Rosemary, Your words and heart have always been so tender and understanding and you know the praries and how the rolling hills last forever. How could anyone find a loved one in the desert..? thank you Darling Paula, So your a Missouri gal... Yeah, I was born in Carthage just outside of Joplin in 49. Dad worked in the marble quaries for 18 yrs. before moving out west. Still every time I go back there they treat me like a foreigner even though I was born there and all my kin still live there too. What a place to grow up. I still remember we were the only farm house on route 2 of course I was small but could see no houses in either direction. I dreamed of the train rolling by... saw it coming and watched it disapear from sight wishing I was on it. Resolved I knew I would never leave there. Thoughts of a very serious 5 yr. old. What a tale my thoughts could tell. Thanks Paula for your time. dale . [This message has been edited by lucky (edited 12-01-2000).] |
