Late yesterday I climbed a wall The wall that stood 100 foot tall With all that climbing I had done Expecting to have finally won I pulled and tugged then hurried down Lost my footing and fell on a frown I bounced back up to look at my self And found me hiding beneath a shelf Work like money doesn't matter, love like you've never been hurt, dance like nobody's watching... |

Delightful ditty!!! I couldn't help but think of Vice President Gore. Hope for his sake he can pick himself up and find himself somewhere besides under the shelf. Well, at least in time. It would be really hard to go forward believing and having many believe in you, too, then to end up falling on a frown of your own or many. This is really heavy thinking compared to the lightness of your poem. It makes me think of Silverstein and Seauss all rolled into one. |

Sven, thanks for the kind words. VAS, "It makes me think of Silverstein and Seuss all rolled into one." It was actually a cross between Mother Goose and Dr. Seuss Marge Thanks for remembering me. |
