... a bit too disgruntled, perhaps, but then... ... thanks for understanding that this is not a political statement ... ... just me being me with my lines of rambling ... . .. ... Old man in the corner watched deserted streets from the corner of his eyes -- bleary and tired, wet, soaking up rain outside pouring down rain inside tears tearing apart haphazard emotions knocking the soul stirring moving in motionless quiet, aloofed cornered by fate left alone as he felt an arrest and up heaved his chest pumping once -- the last time one breath left last gasp and all he thought was "heaven or hell, why care?" and the light left darkness loomed tall seemlessly quiet deathly silence descends shhhh… Another one bit the dust Day two and they found a wet mass of a grief-struck body lying in coldness eyes shutting out the world swollen ears keeping out pained sounds of a war-child's cry jaws gripping each other biting cold gritting teeth as if reaffirming silence A lamb amongst a pack of wolves Hey, they just dropped a bomb and there are kids playing innocent, soon-to-be-victims of an unknown cause searching a non-existent freedom Shhhh… don't say this aloud they will get you for speaking out costs a lot, careful with your mouth, son Hey! Wait, let's get a new king, let's do it good, let's make them feel jealous of our freedom of expression and choice let's make one fool a winner, (and get over with it) got to watch the next ball-game season starts sunday major league, got to eat the sausages better get those warm with a chilled can of a favorite drink And do you know that a thousand kids were killed when the nuke dropped and they just boiled in that furnace... Ah! forget about it, let's worry if the pinks will win or maybe the reds. Shall I toss the coin? Hey mother, the reds won see mother, the sky is lit red, and the green grass is floating on dark maroon shiny liquid! Mother, is that how blood stinks? Knock, knock, knock! who's there? wake up... the dream's finished but the nightmare just seems to go on and on and on and ... .. . [This message has been edited by Sudhir Iyer (edited 11-27-2000).] |

Sudhir, I really liked this, what profound thought and you've put it so well together. What is that you express in your eyes? It seems to me more than all the words I have read in my life. Walt Whitman |

quote: this is profound in the trip from one expose to the next - i want to put it to film.. i can see it -- it will be a very artistic piece... a combination of film, social statement, poetry.. it's a fabulous write, sudhir!! thank you for sharing this one day, when i get my multi-media thing going, i'll contact you to put this on film... then... and THEN... we'll put it on my new website (news about that later *wink*) |

Kathleen, Thanks so much for reading and sharing what you think... Doreen, Imagine a video shoot with life as general in normal speed and then these shots in super slow motion, almost stilling life and stalling our thoughts causing a perturbing regret to the way we lead it... yep, anytime, my friend you would like a screen play for this, to put it on film... I am up for it... atleast I can be proud of myself when I am old and weary... Thanks a lot for your time and thoughts on this one, Doreen... I appreciate your response a lot... My regards to all, Sudhir |
