Gentle fingertips of springtime plucks the fragrance in the wind mockingbirds mimic bluebirds sienna breasted robins sing Silken petals dance like confetti brighten the morn with their ballet butterflies flaunt their fan dance in their kaleidoscope exotic way Behind our oriental screen is our sheet music of lilac gold tucked away safe within your arms forever a painting to behold Strings of the wind never to pluck adieu lost within your eyes..eyes of midnight blue A poem is never finished, only abandoned. - Paul Valery (1871-1945) |
