Cool is the whisper of breezes at dawn, Smell of sweet jasmine, angelic bouquet, The kiss of morn's dew, on emerald green lawn, Soft glow of sun's rising, advent of new day. Verdant the meadow, in morning's begin, Darkness retreating, onslaught of the sun, Songbirds awaken, commencing day's din, Helios the victor, of warmth does forerun. The beauty of dawning, spreads 'cross the land, Alone in the distance, no jewel can compare, A vision of wonder, as touched by Sun's hand, A single primrose, pure beauty so rare. First rays of the morning, lone primrose encase, Splendor of nature, in dawning's embrace. Awaken thee as dark of night is swept, From sky by whispered hush of dawn's first breath, Lets loose new day, o'er distant mountain kept, 'Neath firmament of heaven's spacious breadth. As evening's stars, in evanescence flee, Before advancing light of Helios' reign, Recedes the tide of night's celestial sea, Exposing mountain peak and verdant plain. Begone the cloak of midnight's ebon skies, Feathered hymnists, as nature's minstrels sing, In heralding, advent of day's reprise, In splendored awe, to us doth dawning bring. The sun, and wind, and rain, arise and greet, As comes the dawn, champion of night's defeat. |

If I had a jealous bone in my body it would be on fire now....I've always wanted to write one of these..along with ballads but I must confess I've not had the time nor the concentration as of late to do so...this is truly stunning Mike...the flow and the beauty of this rains down like diamonds from a moon lit night...absolutely exquisite!!! You cannot dance in the sun until you have cried in the rain~ |
