Yearnings of A Heart In dark of night shadowed spirit rests Upon sheets of satin in eyelet dress Drifting through passages of timeless sleep Where passionate heart so quietly weeps Of endless dreams of once upon times Yearnings of a heart to be truly loved Arising at dawn to amber glow of sun Dreams are forgot new journeys have begun Through golden archway where trust is found Demons and dragons have all been cast out A touch of man with gentle hand Releases from cage a spirit no longer contained Two hearts unite forming sacred bond Together in rhythm till end of all time... Dani~ This is just the loveliest rhyme. Thoughts as pretty as these must have come from just the nicest of 'once-upon-a-times'. It's not exactly wake-up time here ... but I think I'll join you in that cup of coffee. *Hugs* ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ [email protected] |
