Somewhere Up There I've been down the trail of broken dreams Where love is never quite all she seems I've held the hand of the heart that lied And I've seen trust sicken before she died But somewhere up there just ahead of me A living wish inside a loving heart will be And there is one love who'll hold me tight And softly enfold me in stardusted delight I've walked the roads of sorrowing despair Met loneliness and pain who wander there I've watched as truth fell a victim to lies And shook with pain as I heard her cries But somewhere up there not far from here Is the light of love, which will banish fear And there is a loving hand held out to me And I'll take it as I open my eyes to beauty I've stumbled and fallen into pains dark pit And wandered through halls dark and unlit I've peered into hate and seen it's despite And cowered from fears that shun the light But somewhere up there light and love await They and destiny are ready to show me my fate And there is a future that calls out my name And I know that love isn't always the same Marsha Take back the hope you gave,- I claim Only a memory of the same Robert Browning |

The memory of love's refrain is so difficult. But as the song goes..love is just the stardust of yesterday the music of the years gone by! |

My dear friend this is great writing. I feel the pain. This poem spoke to my heart. I have lived many of your words. If you ever want or need another friend with an open ear you know where I am. Love and light, Richard |

another poem of well worked metaphors and imagery Marsha, perfect cadence as well ... this "less is more" lesson is showing great poetic results ... and with each poem you grow stronger in spirit... another gift of poetry take care jm Am I loved by my words Will my vows weather the tide Bended knees can forsee all the rhythms of life And a heart can be held without pride ~Vante |

A rich piece of positive truth, how life can beat us down, but we must keep walking. Enjoyed the read. With the word, I am mighty, with the pen I am free.. dragonpoe |

Marsha, I can tell you are hurting, but this is such a lovely, hopeful poem. That you can see the light always, is such a credit to you. And write so well of it, too. Take care. Sandra |

As I said all I can do is look to the future. And I will love I really really will Take care Mushy Richard love, thank you so very much, I know i don't have to say it but I do appreciate you love, I truly do. Take care Mushy Janet Marie love, thank you so very much. Don't they say that emotions must show through poetry to make it readable, in which case I think my emotions are showing I will keep trying and with you and all the other great writers here, there is some astounding inspiration. Take care Mushy Dragonpoe, thank you so very much, one of the few lessons I have learned is that no matter how much people love you they really can't help you get up if you don't try to stand yourself. I am standing, I might stumble a lot but I am standing. Take care Mushy Kari love, thank you sweetie, as you see I'm picking myself up, and I'm taking those steps. I've done it before, and I know I can do it again. It helps to know you are there it really does. Take care Majestic Marsha Sandra love, it's all we can do love, is look to the rainbow, and know that there is light out there somewhere. Thank you so much love Take care Mushy Jimmy love thank you, that is such a nice thing for you too say. And I do appreciate it I really do. Take care Mushy Kari do I thank you again, and for eternity I think I will Take care my fellow Phoenix, we will fly and soon Take back the hope you gave,- I claim Only a memory of the same Robert Browning |

Yeppers, I would say that you are taking those lessons and getting straight "A's". This in another one of those that shows the effort put into it and the use of your metaphors was splendid. Wonderful write my friend. |

A living wish inside a loving heart will be And there is one love who'll hold me tight And softly enfold me in stardusted delight marsha with your couragous heart I am sure that you will find love, beautifully written. There's a feeling of contentment Now that you are here I feel satisfied I belong inside Your velvet heaven" Depeche mode |

Mark my friend, thank you so very much, it is indeed far too easy for me to stick with what I find easiest, but Kari has convinced me that the extra effort is worth it. And I must say as I complete each of these newer ones, the next isn't too difficult. However, I won't become complacent, and keep putting the effort in. Thank you again Take care Mushy Brian love, thank you so very very much, that is a compliment that I know I really don't deserve. Thank you anyway Take care Mushy Take back the hope you gave,- I claim Only a memory of the same Robert Browning |
