Ascent/Descent

In darkest of sky in low the east
sun breaks the night to thus greet
winter’s day now not so bleak
as sun glints gold, new day to seek

in blue of heaven sun casts a glow
of spring tidings in that all should grow
and gentle as a new babe’s sigh
makes lovely ascension through the sky

then on the summer day sun crowns
in cast of rainbows all around
emerald is lush in carpets of green
vibrant rays upon sweet earth’s scene

slowing making way t’ward the west
not so much a fall, but in slow descends
over all sun acknowledges the best
casting promises to all yet again

to rest now the gifts of the day
quiet creeps in with cool of night
the descent has quitted us from high
tomorrow’s ascent a promise of light

Yes, the lessons of life are there for us in all of nature, if we only take notice...I love these gentle meandering ponderings that you write so well...I have to learn this subtle art of yours...(I have a tendency to beat people over the head poetically, lol...)
Lovely, as always.

Serenity...first, you grow OLD, very OLD...and then you take it easy....and always, always, you must smile... {~,^} and a wink thrown in for good measure helps!  Hugs, and thank you...Sun

poetic wisdom blessed by the light that shines in your pen...
very cool poem Sun, I love the premise of this.

Am I loved by my words
Will my vows weather the tide
Bended knees can forsee
all the rhythms of life
And a heart can be held without pride

Kari love, utterly utterly breathtakingly lovely. Kari this is so truly beautiful that I am dumb....... which then makes it difficult to tell you how wonderful this really is
Well as you are trying to teach me the less is more theory.

JM, my friend, you always give the epitome of response...the included refrain, the yet again of comment...has anyone told you lately, how special you are!...thank you...

suthern, dear, how lovely the light of you...visit more often, please...

thank you Tier....[I still love your name...]

Marsha, in my position, less is always more...legally and otherwise...and then again...hugs to you...

'Deer, "if You say it, they shall know"...and I think that is a field of dreams type of response..., but hey, it fits!...thank you!
