Stranger to love, You don’t know what I need You say you won’t go But if you don’t I know that I will Stranger to love, Unaware of the intensity Upon which your fingers roam, My emotions deep beneath my surface Stranger to love, I tried to save you from me I know I could be good to you But you’re not the one for me Stranger to love, I’m as beautiful as a rose, you say Did you forget roses have thorns? Mine are tearing us in two Stranger to love, Damn you for making me laugh Happiness dispels the pain Why are you making me want you? I’m not allowed to You’re breaking the rules Stranger to love, I’ve had love for you But you’ve been a stranger to my heart Because I wouldn’t open the doors How did you get through? The gaurd was up but the gaurd finally got penetrated...oh that love can seep through sealed openings and into gaurded hearts... like the old Al Jolson tune... "You made me love you you know I didn't wanna do it, no I didn't wanna do it. You made me want you yes you do you really do....." great poem! |
