A man for me

is there a man that I can trust
to share the secret of my true lust
with all the men I watch and see
is there a man out there for me

his hands I'd like to be a little rough
the heart he has needs to be quite tough
for I am shattered by the pains of love
and he will have to rise above

a trusting soul, no I'm not
I mingle with the past a lot
if he can see beyond that sin
then surely I can let him in

for now I've stopped looking, there is no rush
fear of another mistake my heart to crush
yet to ride through another lonely night
not that easy to give up desires fight

another day, I've made it through
but not without thoughts of you
imagine him in my mind a lot
a man just for me, not totally forgot

his face, his face I can not see
he is out there waiting just for me
well for now life goes on
and I will sing this lonely song

put my heart back on the shelf
be quite comfortable with myself
for in my future I can truly see
there's a man out there for me

OH Oh raising my hand and waving!! Pick me, pick me, LOl I can relate to your words. It hard to trust when the one you loved does you wrong. Hang in there Dear lady I know there is a man for you and a lady for me. Good writing.
