“Silhouette In My Mind”

by

~~~~
Once your presence was real
and certain,
your graceful elegance flowed
with your radiance
projecting…
Your beauty was alive
becoming the sparkle
in my eyes,
and found its way
into my heart…
But now I am very perplexed
and still don’t know why,
perhaps it is possible
that I have slowly
grown blind…
It’s very bewildering
for me to understand
why you have now become,
only a
“Silhouette In My Mind”…
Bill,
one thing about silhouettes is that they don't move like shadows do. . .
great poem. . .
Bill,
  This is truly beautiful!  When the love we hold so dear has vanished from our lives, that person becomes yet but a silhouette, no longer tangible, but always loved.  Wonderful and touching read.
It's strange isn't it? What once seemed all encompassing in our minds can become a mere vestige of times past... Nicely done, BCI...
Evening Paula,
I agree that some things just fade to silhouettes, and haunt. But at times the haunting is very real, and I'm sure that you agree. One wishes that perhaps the silhouettes would go away, but they never seem to, perplexing eh? Thanks Paula, appreciate you coming by.
Evening Sven,
You sure have got that correct, they do not move like the shadows. But perhaps if they did, would they be silhouettes? Thanks Sven, appreciate the comments.
Evening athena4,
Nice to see you again, and thanks for the considerate reply. And I believe the words that you have written are true. When one has vanished, a silhouette is always in ones mind. Thanks again.
Evening Nan,
Thank you Nancy for the words that you have written, as they are very true. And also for the time taken to stop here for a read. I do appreciate it.
Evening Charisma,
I appreciate the kind reply, and for coming by my place.
Evening Irish Rose,
Nice to see you, and thanks for the kind reply. Please don't tell anyone, but I wear glasses also. Can you tell from my photo? hehehe
Thanks again, glad that you were able to come by.
