I See Not the Breeze I see not the breeze, yet it touches my face With summertime warmth and refreshing embrace And it kicks up the leaves and churns up the seas It blows blackbird wings, yet I see not the breeze I see not the purfume from lilac’s sweet bloom Yet its fragrance spreads out and cleanses the room And out in the meadow the white-tailed deer knows Aroma of sapling and grasses and rose I see not God’s Face, yet I know He is there Listening well to my heart laden prayer But His deeds are quite visible all through the land And His wildflowers bloom, yet I see not His Hand Elizabeth Santos |

God, love, air, hopes....so many things unseen that are so important. One of the things that CAN be seen and is important is...your beautiful poetry. |

Elizabeth, We just know He is always there although we never see Him. Faith is so wonderful. LW Poetry should surprise by fine excess...it should strike the reader as a wording of his own highest thoughts and appear almost a remembrance. -J.Keats |

Elizabeth the last verse reminds me of a passage from the Bible I quote all the time, it's by the apostle Paul and it's about faith, "faith is the ASSURED expectation of things hope for, the EVIDENT demonstration of reality though not beheld." (New English Bible) I'm not a religious man but I appreciate many things and this poem of yours is one of them......beautiful thoughts ...can't see the wind but we can feel the marvelous effects of it. Another lovely heartfelt writing by you Elizabeth and I enjoyed it so much.....ethome..Eric |

SO much to take on faith...we oft overlook the smallest flower that tells of the grace of God... Elizabeth, thank you! Karilea If I whisper, will you listen?... I would rather be silent and write, than speak loudly and be bound. KRJ |

Elizabeth, I don't know how I could have let this slip by but I'm sure glad I found it on pages flipped back... It's message is simple yet the beauty of your words that you have penned makes this an exquisite piece of poetry... Thank you for providing this enjoyable read... Coco |

Beautiful again Elizabeth!! Just marvelous pictures of life filled with the greatest respect and reverence for the wonders of nature placed here by the grand creator.....I see not the breeze either but like you I know it's there because I can feel the effects of it...the miracle of it's presence...and like you my heart sheds waves of love for these wonders...so much of which we don't understand.........ethome....... |

Elizabeth... I love the message and the manner in which you conveyed it. Every word so very true, and wonderfully penned! ~Sheri "The things that come to those that wait may be the things left by those who got there first" |
