Touch Me ~*Marge Tindal*~ I've loved you for so long. I have wanted you so. Touch me gently with a kiss, just before you go. Hold me in your arms. Say things I want to hear. Touch me gently with a whisper, softly in my ear. Caress me with sweet words. Let me hear your sigh. Touch me sweetly with a song, before you say goodbye. Long before the morning comes, hold me close to you. Touch me with your tenderness the way you always do. When you are gone I'll remember, with longing memories, the way you touched me in the morning, as soft as a gentle breeze. While you are away I will wait with surest destiny. I will touch you softly when you return and pull you close to me. We will begin anew. Knowing joy beyond compare. Touch me softly with your love. Very pretty. Although, in the beginning I felt it a plea of unrequited love, then it seemed it was a wish for love's return after absence from each other. Is this what was intended? Just curious if I read it correctly. |

I knew by the poster's name, the poem would be beautiful. But I have to admit...(showing my age) the first thing I thought of when I saw the title was the Who's "Tommy" "Touch me, feel me......." sorry, my mind works stranglely sometimes. You have penned a beautiful poem Marge. |
