Would you light my candle For the night is long Love with gentle handle When the song is gone Could you go on shining In the darkest night For your love I'm ever pining Especially when I'm touched by fright May you be a beacon Shining cross the waves My out of control freaking Depends on love that saves Might you offer dawning To lighten endless night My trust in you has new hope forming The prospect of delight Would you gift me sunshine In my lonely days could your light upon me shine teach me in your ways I'll accept your offering Thank you for its prize All my love I am proffering To share light seen through your eyes. Religion is for people frightened about going to hell - Spirituality is for people who have been there. Anon. |
