When you turned to me with selective sentences and reminiscent phrases, you suddenly paused, and said "hi," one common syllable spoken so uncommonly. There was a certain softness in your eyes, a familiar tenderness in your voice. It was a moment so intimate I thought I would surely melt beneath your gaze, pouring myself over burning pavement. Instead, I just said "hi" and walked away with sunburned cheeks. But love caught in a moment has its own rewards. |

Beki I just loved this because I could relate to it. This is wonderfully written. It's amazing how some poems just hit you in a certain way and this one hit me there... and I repeat...I just loved it...a simple hi! at the right time and your reactions ...well done!! |

Thank you, Ethome and nakd..I am really glad you could relate to my poem. I remember reading it when I first wrote it ot to someone who said "but it's not believable, no one stops in the middle of a conversation and says hi" but it did happen just that way, and that hi spoke volumes. Thanks again for reading  |
