I'm looking for you.
I know that you're out there, somewhere.
I've been looking for you since I was a child
Digging through the lost existance of my memories,
clawing at the way that they laugh at me,
not wanting to hear that sound again.

And you, all you can do is just shake your head.
Do you know what kind of pain I'm going through?
Do you feel the longing and the passion that I feel for you?
Do you?
All you can do is tell me that you're "not ready".
What aren't you ready for?
I've never asked any more of you than you could handle.
And all you can do is hide behind that wall again.
The wall where I found you,
the wall that I brought you out from behind of
to let you see the sun.

I'm not going to wait for you.
But if you need me, I'll be here.
Why?  Because I care.
Although I shouldn't
But sometimes,
it's all that I can do.

Diana, with a heart rendering showing such as this I am sure that you will find your life as you want it.  Your words and your heart shine in this one and from this cowboy, I wish for you the happiness you seek.  Don't give up my friend, there are many rainbows hidden in the clouds just waiting to show their faces.

Mark, thank you so much my friend.  I have missed you and am glad that you are back.  I know that you understand.

Dreamkeeper, yes, we do need to let go and move on.  But I'm just going to keep that lifeline there just in case.  Thank you.

Hey Diana sounds like a rough times poem... very well expressed hurt...I really appreciate the depth of the line "I've never asked any more of you than you can handle." I don't know how you could play more fair than that. I read these pleas  and expressions all the time at Passions and realize that on both sides of the story (male and female) there tends to be so many onesided love affairs and though it's sad I have to say writing about it really helps...if you want my opinion and you probably don't I would say that it's time for you to think about moving on instead of hanging on...because the impression I get of you is much nicer than the one I'm getting of  the one you are waiting for...take care..

Diana, this is very well written and your response is pefect "keeping the lifelines open just in case"...that is true wisdom. You are no passing shadow....

PV,

If you stick around awhile and show you care, you may be surprised at what could happen.  Never say never.

ethome, thank you; you're probably right.

Balladeer, it's all that I know how to do.  To let go, but not to let go; that is the question.

Sven, thank you.  It's nice to know that others relate.

Lone Wolf, you can only stick around so long. Thank you.

beautiful poem PV ... many emotions expressed in this ...
sometimes we do invest to much time in waiting on someone who has built walls up around their heart.
take care

A heart touching weave...tender and gentle
with threads of pain and longing...to want
to be the one for another...to know that if
they would just allow you to enter their
heart it would be right...but sometimes
those scars and walls are so thick that the
sunshine just can't be seen...excellent
writing~

Mark, thank you again.  Twice!!

Janet Marie, sometimes we do.  But it's hard to let go when you care about them so much.  You just want the best for them.  Thank you for reading.

Butterflies, thank you.  I do want to enter again.  Not as much as before, but I do want to show that I still care.

vandana, thank you!!!

Tony, thank you for saying that my writing is passionate.  It's very nice of you.

And now it is my turn to be missing you my friend.  I hope that all is going well with you and that the busy in your life settles down a bit.  We need you here.  At least I know I do and your verse says that you would be here if needed so WHERE ARE YOU??     Just thought that this one needed to be riding the blue pages once again so here we go.
